The Magnificent City of Venice needed to be defended even before the rent appeared in the sky. Therefore the Arsenale produced ships and weaponry behind these sturdy walls.
Welcome to this week’s WIP Wednesday post where our designer Neil has been assembling the walls of the Arsenale. These towering defences will be a new arrival to our ever-growing Streets of Venice range of MDF terrain. With Carnevale being a skirmish-based game, these new SOV additions will allow people to scale new heights.
True to WIP Wednesday fashion, you aren’t going to be seeing a finished project! So please forgive any wonky cuts or visible scuffs.
SOV Walls
Following the same design inspiration as previous SOV kits, you can see details such as window arches and sculptured wall accessories. This set has been designed to be modular so it can connect together or be spread out. As you’d expect with walls you can place miniatures atop them and leap onto unsuspecting enemies below.
Ideal for use with the SOV Block Streets or Venetian Quarter Streets, players will be able to create a walled city section for their Carnevale Board. When this product is released in the future (Not saying when) we’d advise partnering the walls with the Venetian Construction Apparatus for your scaling needs.
We’re excited to see how people use this terrain in game but I can’t reveal any more information at this time.
That’s it for this weeks WIP Wednesday. If you have a project you want to start or add to your tabletop setup.
