Advent Calendar – Day 19 – Great Game Hunt

Prepare the dogs, we’re going peasant hunting…

Who doesn’t love a good hunting session? Now we know what you’re thinking and no we aren’t hunting precious little foxes. We’re civilised folk here at TTCombat, and therefore enjoy hunting the ultimate prey… people. Next year we’ll be taking to the streets of Venice with the Patrician’s latest box, the Great Game Hunt.

The hedonism of the Venetian nobility has taken a new and somewhat mediaeval turn. As the ‘floating city’, Venice has never had forests or game with which the nobles of Venice could hunt. Now as part of some masquerades, the nobles release captured civilians to be hunted. Bedecked in hunting garments and long leather hunting boots, the hunters chase their prey around the narrow winding streets of Venice: the houses acting as the trees, cobble pavements the tracks, and the canals the streams to be jumped over.

Venetian Mounted Noble

Riding side saddle is always more fun when you’ve got a drink in one hand and a pistol in the other. Her most regal ladyship has grown bored of high society with its dull conventions. Cleansing the city of captured less fortunates not only provides hours of entertainment but also provides a crucial service. The latest gang leader to join the Patrician ranks, the Mounted Noble will be best used as a support character. Galloping through the city streets, you’ll be able to harass foes whilst providing buffs to your gang mates.

Heavy Venetian Guard

Sometimes those who are meant to protect you become corrupt. Donning a mask to conceal his identity, there is no hiding the fact this Heavy Guard is butchering poor citizens. Brandishing a mighty spiked warhammer, the heavy’s job is to finish off the prey once the noble has grown tired of the days entertainment. Whilst it may be a brutal thought having your brains smeared across the cities cobblestones, its a kinder thought than being devoured by dogs.

Venetian Hunting Dog

We hate to break it to you but not all dogs are good boys. Neglected by their self-righteous handlers and trained to bring down prey, these hunting hounds are vicious. The first dogs brought into the Patricians faction, these four-legged beasts can track their human prey through the city streets before alerting the hunters of their location.

Will you be joining the hunting party or do you prefer being the hunted?
