Advent Calendar 2024 – Day 16 – Carnevale CHROMA Terrain

Painting can be such a bore…

Your tabletops need not be resigned to unpainted terrain thanks to CHROMA! 2025 will see the latest TTCombat MDF range expand upon the initial kits developed for the Kickstarter. On this note, the BackerKit is live now with numerous new kits available to pre-order even if you didn’t back the Kickstarter! As numerous Carnevale players requested during the campaign, we’ve decided to extend CHROMA’s reach into the Streets of Venice range.

CHROMA Palazzo Magdalena.

Highly detailed with artwork from one of our in-house studio artists, this example piece looks fantastic. All of our CHROMA terrain has the design printed directly onto the MDF which means no need to paint! You’ll be able to quickly cut the kit from its sprue and easily assemble the building as you would with any of the exsisting SOV kits. In terms of scale, nothing has changed. This piece has multiple areas to fit 30, 40 and 50mm based characters with traversal still being a critical aspect of the design.

Eagle-eyed citizens will notice a number of subtle changes in the CHROMA varaint compared to the unprinted original. All grey board pieces are gone beacuse they simply aren’t needed. New windows and doors fill the frames along with a new balcony design. The BIGGEST change is the removal of the upper floor section which was accesable through removing the roof. As Carnevale doesn’t support interior play we chose to lose this space to repurpose the wood.

We’ll be looking to introduce CHROMA Sov kits once the Kickstarter has been fully shipped. That’s it, which kits do you hope to see in CHROMA?
