Dropfleet Commander 2.0 is here!

Commanders, it is time…

Following a pre-order period that felt like an eternity, we’re thrilled to say Dropfleet Commander 2.0 has arrived. The latest edition of our competitive, tactical spaceship miniatures game introduces numerous new elements whilst refining old ones. Many of you are familiar with the commander universe at this point but for those new to our adventure, we’ll outline the best place to start.

The year is 2679 and humanity faces yet another threat to its survival. Honestly at this point they might as well invite the Scourge and Shaltari over for a coffee and work out a truce because a BIGGER threat has arrived. Horrific to look upon, and masters of some of the most unique looking ships in space, the Bioficers are the ultimate exterminators.

Inside the box

Inside the brand-new 2 player starter, you’ll find everything you need to start playing Dropfleet. This package contains 24 beautifully crafted miniatures split into two factions: the steadfast United colonies of Mankind and the Bioficers. I would say the devious Bioficers or the benevolent Bioficers but we just don’t know. They’ve arrived with a bang, a couple of explosions and a whole lot of dead humans.

Miniatures aside, you’ll find the new 64-page core rulebook designed by David J Lewis and Scott Burns. It’s pages will help you easily grasp the rules of the game and start assembling your fleet. Whilst we are now offering a free pdf rulebook on the TTCombat website, the physical edition includes more scenarios, lore and art. Furthermore, the new rulebook can be purchased separately if you don’t feel ready to commit to a starter.

Finally, you’ll also find bases, tokens, assets, dice, and fastplay sheets inside the box. These new acrylic bases are a crucial part of Fleet 2.0 rules with each ships arcs clearly marked. Better yet, you can more easily immerse yourself into your tabletop instead of fixating on over complicated plastic bases.

We’re thankful to everybody here at TTCombat along with the amazing TTAgents and playtesters who made this new edition possible.

That’s it for today! If you have a project you want to start or add to your tabletop setup, then make sure you head over to the TTCombat webstore for a wide range of miniatures and scenery. If you have anything of ours that you’d like to see featured as a Monday Motivation post. Please send us some photos to info@ttcombat.com
