Are you ready commanders?
The following is only for the eyes of our most capable UCMF admirals, so if you’re hosting a Scourge or perhaps you’re a Resistance spy, please close this briefing. Now that all the INTRUDERS have left, let’s get down to business, commanders. For quite some time now, your ships have been taking a battering from those alien invaders, but no longer. The clever chaps at HQ and that cheeky little Dave Lewis have developed our latest generation of Battleships! The following briefing will outline the ships you can expect to command,

Now, we will take a closer look at three of the aforementioned ships. It’s worth noting at this point that each ship has be redesigned from the ground up and could look noticeably different to the variants you’ve previously commanded.

Delhi Battleship

The Delhi is forever a capable Battleship, still equipped with several UF-4200 Mass Driver Turrets and the superior UF-6400 Mass Driver Turrets. It’s load remains the same with Bulk Landers, Drop Pods, and Boarding Pods all still present. Yet,  the boys at HQ have cooked up a little surprise for those more daring admirals. Its possible to carry out a Drive Refit as shown attached to the ship above. Doing so will increase the ships Thrust by 3”. Additionally, you could sacrifice both UF-4200’s for a single Cobra Heavy Laser Pair. Undertaking either of these refits will occur a points penalty so spend them wisely. You’ll find the fully refitted Delhi below.


Its worth noting that ALL of the redesigned Battleships can be refitted with the upgraded Drive and Lasers!

NEW YORK BATTLESHIP

Experienced commanders will be familiar with the New York Battleship so this latest iteration will be easy to lead. Still armed with a number of UF-4200 Mass Driver Turrets along with the devastating Medium Torpedo. We’d recommend carrying out the Drive Refit to get the New York into combat as soon as possible so it can deploy its Fighters & Bombers further up the board.

Finally, you’d be ill prepared without being briefed on the new Thebes Super Battleship.

THEBES SUPER BATTLESHIP

Now chaps, you didn’t think we’d send you off to fight those nasty aliens without some new heavy hitting ships did you? We’d like to introduce you all to the Thebes Super Battleship. Armed with a plethora of weaponry, this hulk has the UF-12000 Twin Mass Driver, UF-6400 Mass Driver Turrets and multiple UF-4200 Mass Driver Turrets. Its Load contains Bulk landers, as well as Drop Pods and Boarding Pods. In a similar fashion to the standard Battleships, the Thebes can be upgraded with a Laser Refit however all Super Battleships have the improved Drive fitted as standard.

UCM Plastic Battleship Box

Before the UCM launched its Reconquest Campaign, it’s mighty battleships were already legendary and amongst the oldest ships in their arsenal. After nine years of cataclysmic war, modern replacements are finally leaving Niccolum and Olympus’ yards in vast numbers. The UCM Battleship box allows you to build one of these grand vessels with multiple designs possible. Made from high-quality plastic you’ll easily be able to customise your ship to fit the intended purpose. By taking the bombardment turrets available in the UCM core ships box, you’ll be able to build all possible battleship variants. Stats for these new Battleships will be made available Friday.
