Who doesn’t love an underdog? The world of RUMBLESLAM is filled with titans of the ring ranging from Gun to El Pollo Excellente. Yet, you can’t ever underestimate the little guy.

When a game has as many varied playable characters as RumbleSlam, it’s inevitable that some of them will be overlooked. After all, not everyone can have two gold plus 1 on all their stats! A True Underdog Story is a new series of articles where we cover an underappreciated wrestler and give them a moment under the spotlight to shine! So, which ageing wrestler gets this bespoke privilege first? He’s small, colourful and can hit you from half the ring away!
It’s the Dilomite Kid!
On the surface, the Dilomite Kid seems kinda pricey at 275K Dosh for not-great dice and only weight 1. But then, the Dolomite Kid isn’t about raw punching strength.* Where Dilomite Kid excels is in ring control. Harassing enemy wrestlers from five squares away with his spit attack is great! You throw in his mudslide that has shove 2 (and rocket!) into the mix, and it’s easy for Dilomite Kid to set up brutal beatdowns for the heavy hitters in your team! Oh, did I mention his turnbuckle ability has knockdown and base damage three?!
All of a sudden that 275K Dosh tag is looking pretty good!
Five stamina keeps him from being thrown into the fray willy-nilly, but with his five movement points, you should be darting in and out of harms way all game long. His five action points mean Dilomite Kid has always got options, making him a versatile wrestler.
Again, Dilomite Kid is only 275K Dosh!
WhAt AbOuT hIs CrOwD pLeAsEr? I hear you cry! Well, it makes his signature
move even better! By giving his spit attack bonus damage and bleeding! So not only are you (probably) dishing out some minus tokens from the dazed condition, but you’re also taking away precious stamina!
And he’s only 275K Dosh!
So Dilomite Kid has two different means of knocking down a wrestler, he can shove wrestlers around the ring, cripple them from halfway across the ring, has five action points and five movement points, a super-useful Crowd Pleaser and a plus one on his Defence and Dex stats (arguably the most important stats in the game!)
All for 275K Dosh!
He’s a freaking bargain for what he brings to the ring!
Dilomite Kid is a weight-one wrecking machine! And everyone should be looking to include him in their wrestling stables.
